BUTTERFLY SPECIMENS

This surface manipulation design is inspired by Akira Minagawa’s texture design work Slow Dance. Akira Minagawa expresses dancing of butterflies in the wind via an arrangument of irregular shapes. Replacing irregular shapes with two manageable types of triangles, this 3d surface gives various butterfly-specimen-like patterns.
