KNOWING THE WEST

During my summer 2024 internship with the exhibition design department at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, I assisted in planning two upcoming exhibitions: Knowing the West and Navigating Lolelaplap. Knowing the West highlights the art and culture of the Western peoples, featuring items like cradleboards used for carrying and caring infants. I contributed by refining and rendering a section of the gallery that showcases cradleboards, creating a striking focal point for the exhibition.

In addition, I conducted a visibility analysis of the Temporary Exhibition Gallery at CB using ISOVIST to assist the exhibition design department in determining the arrangement of exhibits. The visibility map below illustrates the results of the analysis. The warmer the color at a spot, the higher its visibility.
